Christine, your guide to Los Angeles from Escape Worldwide.
“LA oozes glamour and entertainment - go star spotting in Hollywood or head to the beach for great people watching!”
What to do in Los Angeles
There’s plenty to see and do in LA, with an endless array of sightseeing and entertainment, including Universal Studios Hollywood® and Disneyland Resort, just outside Los Angeles at Anaheim.
Where to stay in Los Angeles
Los Angeles is a sprawling city, so the best location for you depends on what you want to see. Hollywood and Beverly Hills are great locations for celebrity-spotting and sightseeing, while a Downtown hotel offers easy access to most areas. Stay at the beach for a more relaxed atmosphere too. Los Angeles has a huge number of hotels including all major hotel chains and plenty of independent options also.
Holiday ideas to Los Angeles
Los Angeles is one of the main gateways to the Western USA, so after spending a few days here either grab a car and drive the California coast to San Francisco or San Diego, or inland to fun-filled Las Vegas. Flight connections will take you to most other parts of the USA such as New York or Hawaii, or to various Caribbean destinations including Cancun in Mexico.
Los Angeles – the ‘City of Angels’ – is an essential stop on any itinerary of California and Western USA. Head for Hollywood to see the famous sights associated with the movies, or West Hollywood for the nightlife of Sunset Strip. Beverly Hills and Bel Air are all good for celebrity-spotting, while popular beachside suburbs such as beautiful Santa Monica combine a city break with the relaxed lifestyle that has become synonymous with Southern California.
