Joy’s Camp, Shaba

An elegant oasis in the arid lands of Samburu with rugged hilly terrain, great rocky kopjes (small hills) and lots of springs which support the abundant wildlife. Each sumptuous tent is uniquely decorated with Boran/Somali cloth design, handmade glass and the vibrant fabrics of the local nomadic tribes creating a sophisticated and stylish camp.

Situated at a serene oasis in Shaba National Reserve. The camp is built on the site of Joy Adamson's tented camp. She was a naturalist and author, best known for her book 'Born Free'.
