Kalu’s Hideaway, Udawalawe National Park

Set within 5 acres of gardens, Kalu's Hideaway is located close to the wonderful Udawalawe National Park, famed for its elephants and leopards. It is an eco-friendly hotel owned by famous Sri Lankan cricketer, Mr Romesh Kaluwitharan and offers guests an array of facilities including a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and dining room. You can also play pool or enjoy a spot of fishing.

The hotel is an excellent comfortable resting point between Colombo and the South Coast or from Hill Country /Southern Highlands to the South Coast. Also, it is an ideal transit point for travellers going to the South East.

Kalu's Hideaway Udawalawe provides beautiful accommodation, all offering a private balcony. They are well equipped with comfortable beds, private bathroom facilities and spacious interiors. Some rooms have a separate seating area.

The property boasts 5 acres of beautifully manicured gardens and provides facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and an in-house library. The hotel provides a wellness centre and offers massage services at an extra charge. Younger guests can enjoy the playground. Guests can sample a selection of Sri Lankan, Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisine at the restaurant. There are also barbecue facilities on site.
