Relatively untouched, Selous National Park is said to be the largest game reserve in Africa and to contain the world's largest concentration of elephants. There are large numbers of buffaloes, crocodiles and hippos as well as relatively high numbers of lions and rhinos. The best time to travel to Selous is considered to be July to March. Generally reached by air.
About the size of Belgium and relatively remote, with an unusual combination of East and Southern African wildlife and birds, Ruaha National Park is noted for large numbers of greater kudu as well as lesser kudu, sable and roan antelope, buffaloes, elephants, lions and African wild dogs.
Unique Saadani National Park covers 1100 km2 and is the only wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania bordering the sea. It offers a unique combination of both marine and mainland flora and fauna in a culturally fascinating setting. About 30 species of larger mammals are present as well as numerous reptiles and birds. Besides many species of fish; green turtles, humpback whales and dolphins may also be present in the ocean nearby.

Saadani
Simply Saadani, formerly A Tent With a View, was the first camp in Saadani back in 1995 so knowledge of the park is extensive. The camp is a unique combination of barefoot luxury and wild African adventure.
Selous
A smart, permanent lodge, the Sand Rivers lodge is stylishly designed in thatch and stone flagstones with views over a wide and dramatically rocky stretch of the Rufiji River, that runs through the north of the Selous Game Reserve.
Selous
Sable Mountain Lodge blends seamlessly with its surroundings and is almost invisible from the air. It is located over two small hills right on the northwest boundary of the Selous Reserve affording stunning views of the plains of Selous.
Selous
Perfectly positioned on a low cliff above the Rufiji River, the camp offers wonderful views from the terrace of the bar overlooking the water below. There is a constant parade of animals coming down to drink at the River.
Selous
Hidden amongst dense forest and on the banks of the Rufiji River, Selous Kulinda Camp is greeted by the most breathtaking view as dawn rises and a whole new adventure begins.
Selous
Luxury safari accommodation in the heart of the Selous Game Reserve awaits you, positioned on the Zema River. All tents at the Selous Serena Camp are well positioned offering guests optimum game viewing as well as privacy and exclusivity.

Ruaha
Offering a unique experience in direct contact with nature, the camp is located at the heart of a pristine area with curious rock formations and rich vegetation. The spacious, welcoming suites are furnished comfortably and elegantly.
Ruaha
A small safari camp set in the western part of the second largest game park in Tanzania, Ruaha National Park. Although it is a little basic, it more than makes up for this by offering a true bush experience.
Ruaha
The Ruaha River Lodge was the first camp built in the area, and must take credit for choosing one of the most spectacular locations imaginable. The lodge extends along the rocky shores of the Great Ruaha River.
