A smart, permanent lodge, the Sand Rivers lodge is stylishly designed in thatch and stone flagstones with views over a wide and dramatically rocky stretch of the Rufiji River, that runs through the north of the Selous Game Reserve. Small and intimate.

Situated in the Selous Game Reserve, which is home to such a Noah's ark of wildlife, that it's been made a World Heritage Site. Sand Rivers lies in close proximity to Steigler's Gorge, Lake Tagalala and the Beho Beho hot springs.

5 rooms and three suites, each with its own spacious bathroom with powerful shower, four-poster bed and a standing fan (2 adults). The suites feature their own plunge pool (2 adults). The Rhino House (2 adults), perfect for honeymoon couples, features private dining and a variety of activities. Each room and suite is completely open-fronted, with an expansive verandah set on stilts, giving each a stunning view over the river.
