With its al fresco restaurant over the lagoon, an overwater spa for a spot of pure indulgence and great watersports, this is a beautiful serene resort in true Maldivian style.

Location of the Medhufushi Island Resort

In the tranquil and unspoilt Meemu Atoll, approx. 40 minutes by seaplane from Malé.

Rooms at the Medhufushi Island Resort

112 villas, each with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, telephone, television, DVD player, minibar, tea and coffee facilities and Wi-Fi (at extra cost).

Beach Villas (65m2;) are authentic and traditional in design and have a timber deck with a swing and part open-air bathroom with outdoor shower only, and are either semi-detached or individual villas. Beach Villa Suites (178m2;) are two Beach Villas joined with an outdoor seating area, and also have a bath tub.

Water Villas (60m2;), located on the southern tip of the island, are more contemporary in style and are on stilts overwater with shower and bath.

Two Lagoon Suites (152m2;) are freestanding over the lagoon, accessed by private dhoni boat.

Facilities at the Medhufushi Island Resort

Relax at the overwater spa, dine in the main buffet restaurant overlooking the spectacular beachfront infinity-edge swimming-pool, or treat yourself to a meal at the overwater à la carte restaurant and bar with occasional evening entertainment. Hotel facilities also include a fitness centre, souvenir shop and diving school offering courses from basic beginners to advanced and windsurfing, snorkelling, canoeing and catamaran sailing all payable locally.
