The original Maldivian resort, popular Kurumba offers quality at great value, with a convenient location, traditional style, fabulous dining and sublime hospitality, all in cosmopolitan surrounds fringed with delectable beaches.

Location

In the North Malé atoll approx. ten minutes by speed boat from Malé airport

Rooms

180 rooms, with air-conditioning, minibar, tea/coffee facilities, telephone, television, open-air shower and terrace.

Superior Rooms (74m²) are in two storey buildings. Deluxe Rooms (50m²) are single-storey. Deluxe Bungalows (74m²) have a dressing area.

Family Villas (103m²) are inland. Deluxe Beachfront Bungalows (74m²) are beachfront with outdoor seating area. Private Villas (103m²) are beachfront with sitting area and Jacuzzi. Pool Villas (200m²) have a walled garden, plunge pool, Jacuzzi and terrace overlooking the sea. Presidential Suites (255m²) available on request.

Beachfront Deluxe Bungalows include premium à la carte breakfast with Champagne at the Ocean Grill. Private Villas, Pool Villas and Presidential Villas include the above plus cocktails from 5-7pm.

Facilities

With eight restaurants and three bars, Kurumba offers a wide choice of dining options including a pizzeria, buffets at the main restaurant and the taste of the Maldives in a beachside al fresco setting at the Ocean Grill. Or opt for Chinese, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Pan Asian Classics or Middle Eastern cuisine. There are two pools, two children’s pools, Majaa Recreation Centre and Kids' Club, fitness centre, tennis courts, spa, watersports and diving centre (diving packages are available to prebook). Excellent snorkelling opportunities on the house reef are just steps from the beach.

Kids club

MAJAA KIDS CLUB keeps the youngest guests entertained during their stay, with exciting games, cultural craft-making, educational activities and beach fun with a Maldivian twist. It is open for children from the ages of 4 to 12. Majaa is Maldivian for fun!

Spa and beauty

Veli Spa at Kurumba is an inner sanctuary of calm and wellbeing surrounded by a reflection pond of healing water and stunning architecture. Therapies at the spa include facials, wellbeing massages, body scrubs and wraps, signature rituals, body glow, hydrotherapy, Jacuzzi, steamroom and private yoga sessions.

Scuba diving

Scuba Diving School on site operated by Euro Divers. Open 8.30am-12.30pm and 2pm-5.30pm daily.
