4-night Nile cruise plus Luxor holiday
SAMPLE ITINERARY
Day 1 UK to Luxor
Fly from Heathrow to Luxor. On arrival transfer to the Mövenpick MS Hamees. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 2 Luxor to Esna
Morning visit to the East Bank with sights including the the temples of Karnak and Luxor, and the West Bank with the Valley of Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. This afternoon, sail to Esna and stay overnight.
Day 3 Esna to Aswan
Sail to Edfu and on to Kom Ombo. Visit the temple in Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile god, Sobek, and the falcon god, Horus. Sail onwards to Aswan for an overnight stay.
Day 4 Aswan
Visit the High Dam, Philae Temple and unfinished obelisk. In the afternoon enjoy a felucca ride on the Nile. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 5 Aswan to Luxor
Disembark the ship and transfer by road (approx 4 hours) to Luxor. On arrival check in to your hotel for a three night stay. Prices are based on the Steigenberger Nile Palace on a Bed & Breakfast basis, with a range of other hotels also available. Different durations are also possible.
Days 6-7 Aswan to Luxor
Spend a further two nights in Luxor, exploring the sites or just relaxing at your hotel.
Day 8 - Luxor to UK
Transfer to Luxor airport for the return flight to Heathrow.
An opportunity to explore Upper Egypt with a four night Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan, before returning to Luxor for a few more days of relaxation on the banks of the Nile. A classic Egypt cruise and stay holiday.
