BEST BEACH FOR . . . INCREDIBLE SUNSETS
Goa is blessed with some of India’s best beaches, and its sunsets are legendary. The region has two main stretches of beach along the North and South coasts, with the north coast tending to be busier and have more of a buzz, while the south coast is more peaceful and relaxed, with wide, white sands.
Our favourite area is Mobor Beach on the south coast, a wide stretch of beautiful white sand, where the only interruption to the view is likely to be the swaying palm trees – local laws prevent buildings from being too close to the beach in this area, so the views are spectacular. Take a long walk along the beach during the day, where local drinks sellers are on hand to quench your thirst.
During the dry season (November to March) sunsets range from gentle sepia and fiery oranges to dark reds, with the reflections off the wet sand and through the palm trees adding to the impact. This is perfect for photography enthusiasts, as the colours can be simply stunning. Find a spot in the dunes with your camera at the ready and wait for the show to begin! |
