All Inclusive

A very simple relaxed resort, with access to excellent diving and a fabulous house reef, Biyadhoo’s easy informality is a rare and refreshing treat in the Maldives today. With all meals included, it is great value too

Location  In the South Malé Atoll, approx. 45 minutes from Malé airport by speedboat.

Rooms 97 rooms in two-storey blocks, located just a few steps back from the water's edge. The rooms are fairly basic and simply furnished and have air-conditioning, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, shower and a balcony or terrace.

Facilities An air-conditioned restaurant serves international cuisine, and there is an al fresco bar offering snacks and drinks with weekly themed evenings and live music. Activities include badminton and volleyball, a PADI dive school, watersports including canoeing, windsurfing and catamaran sailing (all payable locally) and board games. Excursions to nearby islands and Malé are also available.

Spa and beauty Overlooking the waters of the Indian Ocean, Himeyn Spa at Biyadhoo Island Resort offers a unique concept of home spa facilities. It uses natural ingredients such as rice, coffee, orange, honey, coconut and herbs and spices combined with traditional Asian body massages to improve heath and wellbeing

Scuba diving Dive Ocean Biyadhoo caters for non-divers through to experts, with some of the world's best diving at your fingertips. Courses and experience programmes are conducted in the ocean lagoon, to allow a discovery of the ocean world right from the beginning.

SUGGESTED HOTEL - MEERU ISLAND RESORT

The sand floor bars and thatched open restaurants give a true ‘no news no shoes’ feel to this large island with its wide choice of facilities. ‘Meeru’ is superb - simple and natural, yet stylish and always popular.

Location In North Malé Atoll, approx. 55 minutes by speedboat from the airport.

Rooms 286 rooms, each with air-conditioning, television, CD/DVD player, tea and coffee facilities, minibar, open-air shower and a terrace. Garden Rooms (50m2) are simply furnished in single storey terraces on the island's interior. Superior Rooms (56m2) are spacious, individual bungalows on the beach, with beautiful views of the lagoon.

Jacuzzi Beach Villas (80m2) feature a walled garden and outdoor Jacuzzi.

Water Villas (60m2) straddle the water’s edge, with four-poster bed and sundeck. Jacuzzi Water Villas (85m2) are stylish overwater villas with Jacuzzi and espresso machine. Honeymoon Suites (90m2) are reached by small boat.

Facilities There are two main restaurants, Meeru Café at the Dhoni Bar Pool, overwater Asian Wok, Hot Rock Restaurant and Bar, sand floor bars and occasional entertainment. Two swimming pools (one adults only), fitness centre, two spas (one overwater), tennis, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, golf driving range, 9-hole pitch and putt, dive centre, snorkelling, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, kayaks, a large boutique and a host of excursions. The house reef is reached by boat.

Optional All Inclusive £35 per person per day

Beach Villas (96m²) are stunning brand new thatched cottages facing the beach, facilities as above plus espresso machine, DVD player, daybed, open-air bathroom with bath and indoor and outdoor showers. Water Bungalows (80m²) are overwater on stilts, spacious, facilities as above, plus sitting area, indoor shower, bath overlooking the sea, wine chiller and large balcony. Water Villas (112m²) are overwater, with large balcony, some have a private pool at a supplement. The Pool Villa (175m²) is at the heart of the island with a private terrace and lap pool. The Water Suite (275m²) has a spacious living room/bar area, lap pool and sweeping deck, and is available on request.

Facilities Elegant facilities include a stunning oceanfront infinity pool, a variety of dining outlets including the main restaurant, Mediterranean dining, a Japanese overwater restaurant, oceanfront Grill and a range of private dining settings. There is also a bar, beach bar and sundeck, fitness centre, overwater yoga pavilion, tennis, snorkelling, windsurfing, diving and The Spa with ten overwater treatment rooms. Snorkelling is possible directly from the beach.
