Cidade de Goa Hotel in Goa is less than 10 minutes around the coastal road from Panjim, the capital. The hotel is surrounded by 40 acres of immaculately kept gardens with views over the tropical Vainguinim Bay. This is where the Arabian Sea meets the secluded, sandy beach, the perfect location for relaxation and watching the sun as it sets into the horizon.

Rooms

The premium twin or double rooms (sleeping up to 3) have an en-suite bathroom with shower & WC, air-conditioning (included), ceiling fan, telephone, satellite T.V., mini-bar, and a balcony or terrace. The superior rooms have the same facilities plus a sea view. All rooms are offered on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Christmas Day and New Year's Eve festive dinners and the Gala Beach BBQ on the 28th December are included. 210 rooms in 2 blocks on 5 floors (2 lifts).

Facilities

The large, free-form swimming pool also overlooks the beach with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas plus 'Bar Latino', the poolside bar. Cidade de Goa has a reputation for high standards and has become a firm favourite in the British market. Many awards have been won for its innovative architecture and Portuguese style décor, particularly evident within reception, some of the rooms, and within its many restaurants.

A wide variety of cuisine is available within themed restaurants such as the 'Alfama', fine dining restaurant, plus organised evenings such as 'Dekhni', the weekly Goan theme night, 'Indian Evening' and the 'Beach side BBQ'. The newly renovated 'Cafe Azul' restaurant with its open plan kitchen offers an international menu.

Activities and facilities available at the Cidade de Goa Resort include: tennis, badminton, volleyball, outdoor chess, table tennis, the 'Taverna' lobby bar, 'Docaria' (the lobby coffee shop with fresh cakes and bakes!), beauty salon, Pavitra Ayurveda spa with Swedish massages and treatments, well-equipped gym., children's pool, watersports including para-sailing, jet skis and water-skiing (all payable locally), a selection of shops, 24-hour reception, safety deposit boxes (free of charge) and regular evening entertainment.
