What to do in Las Vegas
This is a non-stop city, so you won’t have any problems in knowing how to fill your time! Many hotels are entertainment centres in themselves, and while the city is famous for gambling, there’s a whole lot more besides. Outside of the city take a day trip to the incredible Grand Canyon, or to the spectacular Hoover Dam.
Where to stay in Las Vegas
Las Vegas has a bewildering array of hotels to choose from, with many being vast complexes of hotel, entertainment and shopping. Choose from themed hotels to upmarket sleek affairs, casino-based options or non-gaming venues. The famous ‘Strip’ is the heart of the action, but Fremont Street has plenty of appeal too. Hotel costs tend to fall significantly midweek, so it’s worth bearing this in mind when planning your trip.
Holiday ideas to Las Vegas
With direct flights from the UK it’s easy to visit Las Vegas as a destination in its own right. Alternatively combine a few days in Vegas with other US cities such as New York and San Francisco. Las Vegas is also a major gateway to southwest America’s finest national parks, and is a perfect place to start or finish a fly-drive holiday focusing on the California and Nevada areas.
The entertainment capital of the world promises excitement for all who visit, with amazing hotels, star-studded shows and non-stop gambling in the world’s largest casinos. You can win a fortune at the roll of a dice, and then spend the lot in boutique shopping malls, nightclubs or in the bewildering array of places to eat.
