WELCOME |
Sharm El Sheikh lies at the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula,
where the desert merges with the beautifully clear waters
of the Red Sea, and is made up of a series of small resorts.
Naama Bay is the main resort, with hotels,
restaurants, shops and bars, plus dive centers overlooking
the sandy, gently shelving beach. To the north, the areas
of Ras Nasrani and Nabq
Bay are more peaceful and slowly developing, while
to the south, Ras Um Sid and Old
Sharm are only a short ride from Naama Bay. |

HOLIDAY
IDEAS |
Sharm
el Sheikh makes a great beach holiday destination, with the
combination of water sports, quality accommodation and good
facilities in a laid-back atmosphere combining to make it one
of the most popular destinations on the coast. Spend a week
or two here, or combine it with a few nights in Cairo. Sharm
has excellent dive sites suitable for everyone from complete
beginners to experts, including world-renowned sites. Ras Mohammed,
to the south of the resort, is one of the best places in the
world for wreck diving. At the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba, the
Straits of Tiran are home to rays, dolphins and turtles. |
GETTING
THERE |
