WELCOME |
The
Nile Cruise, evoking memories of a travel mode from a bygone
era, is the ideal way by which to see Upper Egypt. For little
more than the cost of a hotel stay in Luxor, you can spend
a week sailing from Luxor to Aswan and back, taking in the
amazing antiquities that line this short stretch of the River. |
|
WHAT
TO DO |
Most
Nile cruises are a week in duration, sailing from Luxor to Aswan
and back again, but a shorter cruise of three or four nights
is also possible. In the company of an Egyptologist, you will
be escorted around the sights of Luxor and Aswan and other towns
along the River Nile, taking in renowned ancient sites such
as Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Esna and Kom Ombo.
Each itinerary differs slightly. |
WHERE
TO STAY |
Your
Nile cruise boat is your floating hotel during your visit, and
most offer comfortable standards and facilities such as a small
pool, restaurant and bar. Not only can you be assured of seeing
all of the main sights, you will not have to bother finding
places to eat as the meal plan is full board - only your drinks
will be extra! |
HOLIDAY
IDEAS |
Spend
a week cruising the Nile, and then return home or follow this
with a week in Luxor, Hurghada or El Gouna. Alternatively, combine
a Nile cruise with Cairo or Aswan. Check out our multi centre
holiday options for more ideas. |
GETTING
THERE |
Most
Nile cruises are served by flights to Luxor Airport, which operate
direct from the UK throughout the year. Flights depart Gatwick,
generally on a Monday. At certain times of the year, additional
flights from Gatwick plus Manchester also operate - ask for
more details. |
