WELCOME |
Brazil's
Northeastern coastline offers a near-perfect mix of pure air,
soft sands and sun, where lively resorts offers great food,
cold beer and a relaxed atmosphere. With the introduction
of direct flights from the UK, and at just a 9 hour flying
time, this area of Brazil is more accessible than ever. Natal
is the main city in the area, and offers a great introduction
to Brazil, while beaches spread out from the city in both
directions. |
|
WHAT
TO DO |
The
resort of Ponta Negra, 10 miles south of Natal, offers a great
mix of restaurants, bars, shops and nightlife, where the days
are spent on the beach and evenings in the bars. Between here
and Natal is the Via Costeira, a strip of coast that has a good
range of hotels wedged between the great beach and the stunning
sand dunes that form an ecological park. This is a great spot
to relax! |
WHERE
TO STAY |
Hotels
in and around Natal tend to be traditional rather than modern,
as this area has been popular with Brazilian and European holidaymakers
for many years. Standards are generally good, although don;t
expect anything too flash! Hotels in the Via Costeira area offer
a more peaceful base, while those in Ponta Negra are ideal if
you like to eat and drink in local bars and restaurants. |
HOLIDAY
IDEAS |
Spend
a week or two relaxing on the beautiful beach, topping up your
tan and trying your hand at dune buggies. Alternatively, spend
a few days in Rio as well as Natal. |
GETTING
THERE |
Holidays
in and around Natal featured here are based on a direct Gatwick
to Natal flight that operates weekly throughout the Winter.
Although Natal can be combined with other areas of Brazil, the
holidays featured here are single centre options. |
