The
Iguacu Falls are truly stunning. Wider than Victoria Falls
and higher than Niagara, there's really no other way to do
them justice without visiting. As the Rio Iguacu falls 80
metres over a 3 km wide span, the 275 individual falls combine
to make the most astounding sight - and sound - imaginable.
The Falls are on the border of Brazil and Argentina, and it's
worth visiting both sides if you have the time. From the Brazilian
side you'll get an excellent overview of the area, while the
Argentinean side gives a close up you'll never forget. 20
km upstream the two countries meet a third, where the borders
of Paraguay join in. |
