 "How incredible is China?! It’s like nowhere
else I’ve ever been, and my trip here was just incredible.
I did the ‘Glories of China’ tour that we offer, taking in
Shanghai, Guilin and the Li River, Xi’an and
Beijing.
I think the Guilin area was probably
my favourite as the Li River is spectacular
and I saw giant pandas here, but there
were so many memories from one trip. The
Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, travelling at
430 km per hour on Shanghai’s Maglev
railway and seeing the incredible city
skyline, and climbing the Great Wall near Beijing would be
amongst the many highlights (my legs ached for 2 days
after the Great Wall - it’s really steep!)
I found China to be very welcoming too -
the people were friendly and inquisitive,
and I had my photo taken dozens of times
(I even had ‘welcome beer’ bought for me
on several occasions!)
All in all, my trip to
China this year was one of the most
memorable I’ve ever done, and one I’d
highly recommend." |
