WELCOME TO
MALAYSIA'S ISLANDS
|
Malaysia's
coastline is dotted with offshore islands, from the more well
known such as Penang and Langkawi, to tiny dots on the map
such as Pulau Perhentian Kechil. Some of these islands are
great to visit, with a relaxed pace of life and good facilities
for a relaxing holiday. Beach holiday to Tioman, Redang and Pangkor and favourites. |
|
WHAT
TO DO |
Off the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia, Pulau Tioman and
Pulau Redang are small inlands with a few places to stay,
great for the traveler weary of commercialised resorts, while
tucked away off the west coast are the Pangkor Islands, a
getaway from the bustle of Kuala Lumpur. All are perfect for a relaxed, chill-out beach holiday. |
WHERE
TO STAY |
Accommodation options on the islands are more limited than elsewhere, but we offer a good range of hotels, generally 4* and 5*. |
HOLIDAY
IDEAS |
Reaching
the islands of Malaysia can be slow sometimes, and most involve
flights from KL. Do bear in mind when planning your journey
that you may need to spend additional time in KL in order
to reach some destinations. |
GETTING
TO
THE ISLANDS |
Scheduled flights operate daily to Kuala Lumpur from London
Heathrow, with regional departures from around the UK also
available with a change of planes en route. From Kuala Lumpur,
it's a short flight onwards to Tioman, or a road and ferry trip to Pangkor. Redang involves a flight and boat transfer. |
